Mirabai’s and Juan’s Beautiful Mission:
We believe that each person who comes to tango enriches it. We believe that the human body is capable of incredible things when it connects with its natural essence. Our goal is to create a learning environment that is fun and challenging; where students can discover their voices and express themselves. Through exercises and practices that stimulate creativity, our students learn to trust their bodies, find even more fluidity in their movements, and unlock their potential.
What is it that SPARKS the light in your eyes?
What is ELEMENTal for you?
Earth, Air, Water or Fire
What do YOU want to find in your Tango?
We are HERE TO HELP you.

Schedule / Programm
The workhop weekend in detail
Saturday, October 19
13.00-14.15h
Earth – The What
There is a concept in tango called ‘Tierra’. It means earth, groundedness, roots, power. Have you ever seen a dancer walk onto the floor, take the embrace, take one step and thought, “Now That’s tango.” What you’re seeing is ‘tierra’, that power they possess. We will teach exercises and steps that help tap into that power.
14.30-15.45h
Air – The When
Once the roots are established, the question arises: When? Musicality is the soul of tango, as essential as the air we breathe. Our goal is to make musicality a fun, accessible, and inspiring experience so you can express yourself freely and passionately.
16.00-17.15h
Water – The How
Water represents fluidity and a deep connection with your partner in the dance. We will teach you techniques to develop an authentic connection and fall into the infinite moment of tango, where time stops and only the essence of the dance remains.
Join us and let’s have an ‚afterwork‘ drink together, if you want!
Sunday, October 20
13.00-14.15h
Fire – The Why
“Fire” is the spark that ignites tango, the passion that attracts us and unites us. It is the perfect combination of power, sensuality, passion, and challenge. Our goal is to help you discover your why; your motivation to dance and express your passion on the dance floor.
14.30-15.45h
Transition – The Art of Change
Transitioning between elements is an art that requires skill and practice. We will teach you to change gears smoothly and adapt to each moment. For example, training rapid steps and then executing a complete stop, or learning how to dance in slow motion.
16.00-17.15h
Transmuting – Freedom of Expression
We want you to be able to access a wide range of sensations and provoke and express as many emotions as you want while you’re dancing. We will teach a figure and practice dancing it with two or three different expressions, to see how the same step can feel completely different.
Join us and let’s have an ‚afterwork‘ drink together, if you want!
About Mirabai & Juan
There is a depth of feeling behind Mirabai’s and Juan’s movements… It’s easy to see the joy she feels, the strength he channels. Everything comes through when they dance.“ (Verónica Salmerón)
That’s what Mirabai and Juan want to pass on as teachers to you!
Mirabai Commer, born and raised in California, fell in Love with tango during university, and flew to Buenos Aires as soon as she graduated with her degree in Astronomy. Having started her professional career as a tango dancer and teacher she won 9th place in the qualifying rounds of the Mundial in Buenos Aires 2010! Later she choreographed and directed the 1st place winners of the USA Tango team three years in a row. She won 2nd place in the USA with her student. Later she moved back to Buenos Aires and won 2nd place in Stage Tango in La Plata, a city close to Buenos Aires, earlier this year. She danced in fancy tango shows in Buenos Aires, Querandi and La Ideal, and has performed in more countries than she can count.
Born in Buenos Aires, Juan Bonanni danced in different and fancier Tango Dinner shows: La Ventana, Señor Tango, Café Tortoni, Homero Manzi. As well as musical comedy shows such as: Stravaganza Tango, Tango Pasión, etc..
He forms part of various tango companies as a dancer and choreographer, some of them currently active as Escensia Tanguera, Reviviendo Tango, he is the director of the training Workshop for Stage Tango Dancers.
Adding the experiences of both of these amazing high-potentials, they have been dancing, performing, teaching, touring, and deep-diving with tango for over 40 years.
With this treasure in their backs they have only met a year ago, only to find out, they match perfectly both as dance partners and teachers.
